Lifting a total of 221kg, Prapawadee Jaroenrattanatarakoon defended Thailand's gold in the Women's 53kg category of Weightlifting. The event was held at the Beijing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics Gymnasium during day two of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games on August 10, 2008 in Beijing, China.
